Dreams about the climate – a conversation between researchers Elina Eriksson and Adam Wickberg, organised by Climate Action Center. Facilitator: Karin Larsdotter.

What can we, as individuals, do when temperatures on earth are rising and we are realising that the future will be different from now? How can we assume responsibility for ourselves and others? Those who are close to us and those who are far away. What will a good life look like in the future; how will we travel, live and feed ourselves?

The situation we are in right now is the result of political, commercial and personal decisions made in the past. However, our growing awareness about the climate allows us to take responsibility for future generations in a completely different way, but we must drastically increase our ambitions and work together.

Welcome to a conversation between climate researchers and us, during which the audience is invited to participate and ask questions. The expert panel consists of researchers at the Stockholm Institute of Technology with comprehensive knowledge of the environment, the climate and how society will need to adapt.

Elina Eriksson, associate professor at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Elina Eriksson is associate professor in media technology and interaction design at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She is co-leading the Sustainable Futures Lab and studies future climate scenarios, how to minimise air travel and how to improve the teaching of sustainability, especially in terms of emotions.

Adam Wickberg, docent at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Adam Wickberg is a docent in the history of science, technology and the environment at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He leads the VR Excellence Centre for Anthropocene History and is deputy director of the KTH Environmental Humanities Lab. His research focuses on the historic, social and political dimensions of climate and the environment in the Anthropocene.

Karin Larsdotter, facilitator and deputy director of the KTH Climate Action Centre

Karin Larsdotter, facilitator, is deputy director of the KTH Climate Action Centre, a global centre for climate action. She is a biologist, she has studied water treatment, and has for many years worked on sustainability and research issues. She frequently facilitates KTH events on research and sustainability.
