The Swedish Radio Choir in Rachmaninov’s All-Night Vigil
It is said that Rachmaninov composed All-Night Vigil in just two weeks at the beginning of 1915. The work became one of his personal favorites, and parts of it were performed, at his own request, at his funeral. In 2023, it was interpreted by the Swedish Radio Choir under the direction of Chief Conductor Kaspars Putniņš at Högalid Church.
