As early as in 2003, Esbjörn Svensson himself arranged one of Esbjörn Svensson Trio’s compositions for orchestra, and Hans Ek has consciously continued on in the same spirit of taking the group’s cross-genre works and dressing them symphonically. Svensson’s improvisations are also included, written down in great detail by Hans Ek, helped by the group’s recordings. The trio’s 15 year history is represented in various arrangements and suites, which are here performed by the Radio Symphonists with guest appearances from some of today’s foremost jazz soloists: Marius Neset, Magnus Broo, Helge Lien and Johan Lindström.
