Chamber Unplugged March 16

A contrasting programme: Andrea Tarrodi’s Miroirs, Aulis Sallinen’s Aspects on Peltoniemi Hintrik’s Funeral March and Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Homunculus. In Tarrodi’s often calm and melancholic piece the instruments mirror each other. Salonen on the other hand wanted to write a small-scale composition with the same scope as a large one. Sallinen composed a series of variations based on a famous Finnish folk melody.
