Ravel, Salonen & Lutosławski

In the second part of Esa-Pekka Salonen's Artist in Residence, we meet the British conductor Nicolas Collon and the Swedish soprano Camilla Tilling, who, together with the Radio Symphony Orchestra, perform Salonen's great inspiration, Maurice Ravel's song cycle Shéhérazade with text from One Thousand and One Nights. Additionally, the Swedish premiere of Salonen's piece Gemini for large orchestra, followed by Witold Lutosławski's Concerto for Orchestra. The concert begins with Ravel's five pieces for children, Ma mère l’Oye (Mother Goose Tales).
