Mahler's 6th with Arméns musikkår

Sweden's largest professional brass band, Arméns musikkår, presents the finale of one of the 20th century's most beloved symphonic masterpieces: Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 6 "the Tragic", known for its fateful hammer blows. The concert opens with Fanny Mendelssohn's iconic Overture in C major, the composer's only piece of music for orchestra alone. In addition, the winner of the 2025 Brass Music Prize, Josef Wijk, will perform Oscar Navarro's spectacular oboe concerto Legacy.
