This night’s performance at Berwaldhallen is conducted by Klaus Mäkelä. The programme includes Le tombeau de Couperin – Ravel’s tribute to the soldiers that fell in World War II – Sibelius’ two final symphonies and a selection of Mozart’s most popular arias sung by tenor Peter Mattei. From the Royal Library of Denmark in Copenhagen a talk featuring the Swedish-Finnish author Kjell Westö will be livestreamed.
Hans Krása’s Brundibar has been postponed to the Baltic Sea Festival 2021.
