Soul of Detroit

The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Magnus Carlson Molly Hammar, Jacqline Mossberg Mounkassa and some of our grooviest backing musicians showcase hits and rarities from the enormous treasure trove of songs created in Detroit, mainly in the 60s and 70s. Artists like Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, Diana Ross and Lionel Richie have immortalised this part of musical history. Their music also played a crucial role in the social change that took place in America, as white people started listening to music produced by black people. An unforgettable celebration of a legendary sound that is still current today.
