GERHAHER, HARDING & MAHLER
Lyrical love, existential pain and sharp satire – Gustav Mahler’s songs Des Knaben Wunderhorn are as enjoyable as they are entertaining, here interpreted by barytone Christian Gerhaher. Led by Music Director Daniel Harding, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra performs Mahler’s Blumine, originally the second movement of the composer’s first symphony. Bengt Rosengren and Lisa Viguier Vallgårda are the soloists in Witold Lutosławski’s 1980’s piece Double Concerto for Oboe, Harp and Chamber Orchestra. Daniel Harding also conducts the Swedish Radio Choir in three choral pieces by Reger, Bruckner and Brahms.
1. LUTOSŁAWSKI: Double Concerto for Oboe, Harp and Chamber Orchestra
2. REGER: from Acht geistliche Gesänge op.138
3. BRAHMS: Warum ist das Licht gegeben
4. BRUCKNER: Os justi
5. MAHLER: Songs from Des Knaben Wunderhorn including Blumine

Regarding Chromecast via iPhone
You can use Chromecast for the broadcasts on Berwaldhallen Play from computers and Android phones, but not if you play the concert from Apple’s iPhone. This is due to built-in limitations in the iPhone. If you want to see our concerts on a TV and have an iPhone, Apple’s own transfer technology (AirPlay) via an Apple TV works well.
