Paul Lewis in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4

Ludwig van Beethoven’s fourth piano concerto is considered by many to be his most beautiful. The way the piano calms the orchestra in the famous second movement has been likened to Orpheus appeasing the furies in Hades. British Paul Lewis is praised for his interpretations of Beethoven and will perform this masterpiece together with music director Daniel Harding, who also conducts the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in orchestral works by Hugo Alfvén and Richard Strauss.
