Season 2020/2021
Date has passed

The Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS), The Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI) and The Swedish Institute (SI) will join forces with the Baltic Sea Festival for a celebration and networking forum mobilizing young people to achieve sustainability and openness around the Baltic Sea. The forum will orbit topics like culture, democracy and sustainability.

The Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) will during spring 2020 announce the international Baltic Sea wide poster competition Nothing about us without us! for young adults between 18-30 to visualize youth participation in Baltic Sea Region policy-making. The best three contributions will be awarded during the Forum and get to travel to Stockholm.

The Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI) will present the seminar Young voices – pretty or listened to? The topics discussed will be; How are young people engaged in political decision making around the Baltic Sea, and what societal issues include youth participation? How is their dedication to change policies encouraged, and are their voices being heard?

The Swedish Institute (SI) will showcase a few examples – attractive to a younger generation – in order to promote sustainability. One example is the Re-dress clothes Swap: an activity which allows you to revitalise your closet in a climate-friendly way.

The forum is free and held in English and open for everyone interested. Participation must be notified via booking your free ticket (följ länk osv). Maximum number of participants are 200.

Length of the event: 2 h 30 min
