Truls Mørk in Dvořák’s Cello Concerto
The star Norwegian cellist Truls Mørk interprets Antonín Dvořák’s romantic Cello Concerto in B minor, an audience favourite ever since its premiere in 1896, and the most played and recorded of all cello concertos. The programme also features Carl Nielsen’s dramatic Fifth Symphony, in which the snare drum plays a very special role. Jukka-Pekka Saraste leads the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
This production is part of one or more concert series.
The concert will be broadcasted live on Berwaldhallen Play and at the Swedish Radio P2 January, Friday 28 at 7 pm.
Change of program: Henri Dutilleux Symphony No.2, Le Double och Maurice Ravel, La valse, poème chorégraphique which was previously part of the program, has been replaced by Carl Nielsens Symphony No.5
