Anniversary concert

For ten years, Orkesterskolan, part of Kulturskolan Stockholm, and Berwaldhallen have been creating musical encounters for children and young people. Here, young musicians have had the opportunity to take their place on one of Stockholm’s major stages, embrace new musical challenges and experience the power of being part of an orchestra. Now, the orchestras of Orkesterskolan come together to celebrate ten years of making music together.

Date: 8 November 2026 at 16:00
Length: 1 hour 10 minutes
Ticket price: 150 kr

What happens when you play music with others – week after week, year after year? When something that once felt difficult suddenly falls into place, when you find your place in the orchestra and the music becomes something greater than the part you play yourself?

This anniversary performance brings us close to the world that grows around an orchestra: the concentration and nerves, the everyday routines and the imagination, the role models, the friendships and those moments when many people suddenly become one musical body. Children and young people at different stages of their musical journey come together here – from the very youngest players to Orkesterskolan’s most advanced young musicians.

Music by composers including Beethoven, Bizet, Verdi, Dvořák and Telemann forms part of the celebration. With the students’ own perspectives at its heart, a musical story emerges about beginning, continuing and developing – and about the very special feeling of creating something together.

The performance is presented in collaboration with Folkoperan.
