Seven Last Words from the Cross

The music presented here by the Swedish Radio Choir, under the guidance of chief conductor Kaspars Putniņš, can best be described as spiritual, sacred and rich in mystery. The concert begins with a newly written spiritual work by Djuro Zivkovic. This is followed by James MacMillan´s meditative cantata Seven Last Words from the Cross. The concert concludes with the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov´s prayer Otche nash.
