The Swedish Radio Choir, Putniņš & Bach

The Swedish Radio Choir and Chief Conductor Kaspars Putniņš offer a magnificent spring concert in the Engelbrektskyrkan Church, taking us on a gripping musical journey from the Baroque period to today. The highlight of the concert is Bach’s Jesu, meine Freude – a choral piece of eleven movements, from the beginning written to be performed during the Lutheran mass. After a stop at Brahms’ Geistliches Lied, the journey continues with masterpieces by Arvo Pärt, Tõnu Kõrvits and Gavin Bryars.
