Swedish Radio Choir: Petite Messe Solennelle

Gioacchino Rosssini is famous for attractive and humorous operas like The Barber of Seville and The Thieving Magpie. His last major work, however, is something entirely different: Petite messe solennelle, stylistically wide-ranging with remnants from Bach and Haydn as well as forward-looking shades of Fauré or Poulenc. Conductor laureate Peter Dijkstra leads the Swedish Radio Choir in Kungsholm Church.
