Summer Concert with Culture School's Orchestra School and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra

The School of Culture's orchestra school and musicians from the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra invite you to this year's summer concert at the Culture House City Theatre in Skärholmen! The orchestra school's wind orchestra will start, followed by a performance by musicians from the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Together with musicians from all over Stockholm, their families, and friends, we will celebrate the summer in the best way – with music at the center.

The Culture School’s Orchestra School/El Sistema is a place where children and young people get the chance to discover classical music together. Playing instruments should be accessible to everyone, and at the Culture School’s Orchestra School/El Sistema, children and young people have the opportunity to develop musically from the age of five.

Today, over 4000 children participate in music education throughout Stockholm city. The education begins with an introduction through digital orchestra sessions where they learn about rhythms, tones, singing, and classical music. The youngest children attend their lessons with their class, and as they get older, they take responsibility for getting to their lessons and taking care of their instruments.

Best of all? The Orchestra School is free of charge and open to all children and young people in collaborating schools.
