Sommarvärdarnas önskekonsert 2018

Season 2017/2018
Date has passed

– It’s going to be an amazing night! Music is an integral part of the radio shows and the hosts always select their music with great care. The concert will feature the hosts telling us about their favourite pieces and, together with the listeners and the audience at Berwaldhallen, they will hear them performed by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, says Bibi Rödöö, Head of Programming at “Sommar i P1”.

“Sommarvärdarnas önskekonsert” will contain a mix of different genres, with everything from classical pieces to pop, rock, ballads and jazz. The full programme and the hosts whose music has been selected will be revealed on June 13, but some examples of what will be played include Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix, the jazz standard It was a very good year and the Andante movement from Mozart’s Piano Concerto no. 21. The music is performed by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Anna-Maria Helsing.
