The Georgian violinist Lisa Batiashvili returns to Berwaldhallen to perform Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, the only one he composed for the instrument and a significant cornerstone of the repertoire, together with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the Italian conductor Robin Ticciati. After the intermission, Antonín Dvořák's optimistic and joyful Symphony No. 8, written during a stay at Dvořák's summer residence in Bohemia in 1889, awaits
