Discover Brett Dean: The Cello Concerto

The Scandianvian première of the Australian composer and violist Brett Dean’s cello concerto, co-commissioned by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and written for his friend and musical colleague, Alban Gerhardt. Dean chose the concert programme himself, which also includes fellow countryman Percy Grainger’s fiery orchestral piece The Warriors, written “for a fictitious ballet”, and Ravel’s spellbinding suite from his ballet Daphnis et Chloé.
