Byström and Grieg

The perspectives are many in Byström’s Segelnde Stadt, inspired by artist Paul Klee. Britta Byström’s Segelnde Stadt shares a name with Swiss Paul Klee’s painting, and can, like the painting, be viewed in different ways, like a musical mosaic. Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3, reminiscent of both Beethoven and Berlioz, offers both nature poetry and heroism on a musical journey through the rolling Rhine Valley, and is also called The Rhenish.
