FOUR FANFARES FOR THE LIVE MUSIC

  • 9 September at 15.00: The Baltic Sea Festival’s opening fanfare. Gabrieli, Canzona per sonare No 2.v. Stockholm City Hall, from the town hall tower towards Riddarholmen.
  • September 10, at 15.00: Fanfar Rameau (arr. S Cox) Dardanus septet, movement 1. The fanfare begins a concert with the orchestra school El Sistema Stockholm’s wind ensemble on Rinkeby square in connection with the celebration of Rinkeby 50 years.
  • 11 September at 15.00: Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man is performed by 14 musicians on Dramaten’s terrace.
  • 18 September at 5.15 pm: The Baltic Sea Festival’s closing fanfare on the roof of Berwaldhallen. Music: Chris Parkes.

 

The fanfares are performed during the Baltic Sea Festival to draw attention to the return of live music in Stockholmers’ everyday lives. All fanfares take place outdoors and are open to everyone. The opening fanfare is broadcast live by P2 Live.
