The Finnish National Opera and Esa-Pekka Salonen will be performing Wagner’s complete Ring of the Nibelung over the course of two seasons. Today, they make a guest performance at Berwaldhallen with extracts from The Valkyrie. The final talk of the festival is livestreamed from the National Library in Riga. Using the oratorio The Book of the Sea as a starting point, composer Raimonds Tiguls and author Nora Ikstena will be talking about our responsibility for the future of the oceans in a livestreamed conversation moderated by journalist Erik Blix.
