Baltic Sea Festival 2020 has been cancelled. We warmly wish you welcome back next year! To see how the program for August 29 was intended, see below.

Henrik Ibsen’s satirical play in verse, Peer Gynt, is concerned with our quest for the meaning of life – all existential issues that we can all relate to. The music that Edvard Grieg composed for Peer Gynt includes favourites such as In the Hall of the Mountain King, Anitra’s dance and Solveig’s Song. Star conductor Neeme Järvi is conducting the Swedish Radio Symphonic Orchestra in a rare performance of the entire work with baritone Loa Falkman singing Peer Gynt. Tonight’s livestreamed talk is broadcast from the MO Museum in Vilnius, Lithuania, where we will meet the conductor Giedrė Šlekytė.
