Baltic Sea Festival 2020 has been cancelled. We warmly wish you welcome back next year! To see how the program for August 26 was intended, see below.

Music meets visual art when the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra performs Mussorgsky’s classical piano suite Pictures at an Exhibition in an orchestral arrangement by Ravel from 1922. Paintings will be projected on a screen during the concert. Karin Rehnqvist’s Silent Earth will also be performed for the first time in Sweden. Before the concert at Berwaldhallen, the composer will participate in a conversation about music in relation to the climate. The festival’s first Concert Cinema shows at noon in Studio 2 at Radiohuset – a new concept where image and sound are united in a musical postcard – features the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste. The programme includes some of our most beloved pieces of Arvo Pärt.
