Application videos

In addition to registration on a special application form, three videos are also needed:

• One short ‘selfie video’ (maximum 3 minutes) in which the applicant introduces themself and outlines their reasons for applying to enter this Competition.
• *One video of 8-10 minutes demonstrating a performance (audience not needed) of a piece with a choir or vocal ensemble.
• *One video of 8-10 minutes from a rehearsal with a choir or vocal ensemble.

The repertoire in the two videos with choir or vocal ensembles should be contrasting – for example one video with Classical/Romantic repertoire and one with contemporary repertoire.

The video should show the applicant from the front (from the choir’s perspective). The videos may be shortened, but should not be edited in any other way. The audio quality should be of acceptable quality.

All three videos should be in English.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we will allow videos from the applicant’s own archives, provided that these are not more than two years old.

The application videos should be sent via WeTransfer, Sprend or similar file sharing service to e-mail ericericsonaward@sverigesradio.se. The presentation of the applicant will be used for writing program sheets, press releases, and for information on the Internet.
