• Anna Sobek

  Anna Sobek is Professor in Environmental Chemistry at the Department of Environmental Science at Stockholm University. Her research is on chemicals, how they spread in the environment and how we can measure their impact on aquatic organisms and eco systems. She is also interested in the way we handle chemicals and the risk they present, and how it could be improved. Anna was awarded her PhD from Stockholm University in 2005 with a thesis on applied environmental science, after which she went on to work at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Zürich, Switzerland. After working a few years outside academia at the Gävleborg County Administrative Board, she returned to Stockholm University in 2012.

• Thorsten Blenckner

  Thorsten Blenckner is associate professor in limnology at the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University. His research focuses on ways to achieve a sustainable world by promoting and integrating science through quantitative methods in a holistic system context. He focuses on developing theoretical ideas about resistance, tipping points, biological diversity and ocean health by conducting quantitative analyses of how systems react on climate change and human activity. Blenckner was awarded his PhD in limnology at Uppsala University in 2001, after which he worked as a researcher at the Department of Earth Sciences at Uppsala University (UU).
