Chaplin Songs

The international soprano Camilla Tilling appears with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Choir in the first performance of Daniel Nelson’s Chaplin Songs, a musical version of Charlie Chaplin’s satirical 1940 film The Great Dictator. Andrew Manze then conducts the orchestra in two works by Ralph Vaughan Williams who was born 150 years ago: Fantasia on Greensleeves and Symphony No. 9. During Saturday’s concert, this year’s Sten Frykberg scholarships will be awarded.
